What type of brake, hydraulic with linear encoders?

Your going to like the Dynomotion stuff, it's in a different league than the names you mentioned. I've got my encoders reading at just undunder 1 Mhz, this is a crazy high frequency, but it's working great and gives me .000008" resolution. this is overkill, but I had 5000 line differential encoders laying around and decided to try them.

C is my weakpoint, but it is the key to Kmotion's flexability, luckily there are tons of C examples to get you going.
